Q. What is Adobe Flash Player and why do I need it?
A.
All of our video content on this website is powered by Adobe Flash Player. This is a widely used piece of software for viewing video content on the internet. It is really easy, fast, safe and free to install by going to the Adobe website and installing it here.

Q. Help – I can't see the videos!
A.
The most common problem reason for this is that you don't yet have Adobe Flash installed on your computer. See above Question for the link you can follow to where you can then easily install it.

Your internet connection might be too slow for this website. Dial up connections simply won't be able to view any video content and 256kb/s broadband connections will be very slow to load the video content – but it will eventually load if you don't leave the page whilst it “buffers” (approx. 30 seconds).

Q. The videos “stutter” and don't play properly – why?
A.
It will be that the video hasn't yet buffered. See below:

Q. What does “buffering” mean?
A.
Buffering means that your computer is downloading a video in advance to avoid delays in playback. Ever watched a video on the internet (or here on Babypoo) that stutters and seems to stop and start all the time? This means it hasn't fully buffered. At the bottom of the video window on this website, there is a pink line that automatically moves to the right of our little Monkey's moving head (left to right). This shows you how much of the video has buffered. If the Monkey's head catches up, it will stutter because the video hasn't yet loaded past that point. Just press the pause button and wait for it to buffer some more before pressing play again.

Q. Nothing is free. How does Babypoo.com.au earn its revenue?
A.
Babypoo.com.au is completely free for our members and visitors. It always will be. The sponsors and advertisers that support this website do the paying - so please click on their advertisements and/or links to see what they can offer you!

Q. What charitable causes does Babypoo.com.au support?
A.
The developers of this website have a fond history with both the RSPCA and the Starlight Foundation. At the time of writing, these are our two charities of choice.

Q. I've submitted my video parenting tip to Babypoo. How long will it take for my video to appear on the site?
A.
Each video is reviewed, edited and uploaded manually so we can maintain maximum quality of content for our members. Allow approximately 48 hours for your video to appear on the website. Then make sure you send the email link to show your friends & family!

Q. How many videos can I submit?
A.
We will gratefully receive as many parenting tips as you can provide!

Q. Why can't I access some of the information and functionality on the site?
A.
There are some areas of the site that have been designed exclusively for our members. You will be prompted when being a member is required (e.g. rating a video or leaving comments). All you need to do is to sign in or join the Babypoo membership community now to participate. Membership is free, fast and easy. You can join us here.

Q. When entering my contact information, how do I know I won't get loads of unwanted Spam emails?
A.
As per our Privacy Policy, we promise not to sell or trade your contact details with any other organisation. Ever. The only exception would be if we were ever required to do so by law. Babypoo.com.au will only send you information emails every two weeks or so if you have opted in to receive them. You will always be given the option to be removed from our emailing list at any time if you change your mind.

Q. Can I change / update my membership details – including my email address?
A.
Yes. Simply sign in then select “Manage My Account” and change any part of your membership.

Q. I have forgotten my membership password?
A.
On the member sign in bar, simply click on the “Forgot Password” link. You will be immediately sent your sign in details to the email address you nominated when you signed up. If you do not receive this email within a few minutes, please check your “Bulk Mail” or “Junk Email” folder. Some email programs automatically filter out our automatically generated emails.

Q. I've seen some objectionable content on the website. Can I report it?
A.
Yes. Please send an email to infobabypoo.com.au and paste a link of the webpage you would like reviewed.

A.
