Step 1: Make the video
If you own a digital camera or a mobile phone, chances are it has a video function. After you’ve filmed your video, simply copy the video file to your computer in exactly the same way you do for your photographs.
Step 2: Send the video to us
A typical video file size of about 1 minute will be around 20Mb. This is too large to email. But here is an easy way. Simply visit YouSendIt and follow the instructions. Send your video to info babypoo.com.au. It's fast, easy and completely free!

Handy hints for filming your video tips
- Do keep the video as short as possible. The aim of this website is to present video parenting advice in well under 90 seconds per tip (preferably under 1 minute).
- Do speak clearly into the camera. Usually the microphones on modern equipment is pretty good, but speaking clearly and into the camera will help with the overall quality.
- Do your tips to this basic formula:

- The Solution
- The Result
This will make it really easy for you when recording.
- Don't be too far away from the camera. Keep it as close as you can.
- Don't have too much “Headroom” in the shot. This is the amount of room between the top of your head and the top of the shot. The idea is to keep this as small as possible.
- Don't worry too much about make-up, hair, etc. The videos on this website are compressed for fast loading which means you can't tell anyway!

What video file formats can I send to you?
Babypoo.com.au accepts a wide range of video file formats such as .WMV, .AVI, .MOV, and .MPG transferred from most digital cameras, camcorders, and mobile phones.
How long can my video go for?
We recommend keeping your video tips as short as possible. Please aim for a maximum of 90 seconds per video file. You’d be surprised how much can fit into 1.5 minutes!
How many videos can I send to you?
All video parenting tips will be gratefully received. Send us as many as you like!
Do I need to know how to edit my video before sending them to you?
No. We will do that for you. Don’t worry if you make a few mistakes because we will be editing the video for you at this end.
How do I get a video from my video camera / camcorder onto my computer?
If you already have a digital camcorder then you're ready to start filming your parenting tips. You may use video capture and editing software to convert the video into a video file readable by your computer. You can then send us the video movie file via YouSendIt and following their simple instructions. Send the video to infobabypoo.com.au.
Can I use a webcam to film a video parenting tips?
Yes! You can record video using the software that came with the camera, and then upload it.
How long does it take to upload each video?
After you’ve visited YouSendIt, filled in the TO email address (infobabypoo.com.au), your FROM email address and clicking on “SEND IT”, the time it takes to upload will vary on many factors. Typically though, a 20Mb video file should take about 20 minutes or so. You can continue to look through Babypoo.com.au or do other work/play on your computer in this time, just let it upload in the background.
How long will it take for my parenting tip to become “live” on the website?
Usually in under 2 working days.
